eon Deepens Commitment to Support OSS/J and TMF Domain Standards and Best Practices |

Ceon Corporation, the leading provider of proven service fulfillment software solutions for next generation broadband and IP services, today announced its participation in a number of initiatives that demonstrate its deep commitment to adoption of industry domain standards.
Ceon is an active participant in the OSS Through Java initiative (OSS/J). This initiative is a working group of telecommunications industry leaders that provides standards-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and design guidelines for the development of component-based OSS systems.
Ceon's CTO, John Wilmes, is a member of the Expert Group for the Order Management API JSR 264 and is the Specification Lead for the Pricing/Catalog API JSR 251. Ceon software is also a referenced component within the OSS/J initiative, and can support the Service Activation API.
Ceon has been active in various TeleManagement Forum (TMF) programs and activities as well. The TMF is a non-profit global organization that provides leadership, strategic guidance and practical solutions to improve the management and operation of information and communications services.
Ceon is working with the TMF SID team to add the Product Catalog Aggregated Business Entity (ABE) and its related entities and associations to the Product domain of the SID. Ceon has participated and contributed to the ICON, MTOSI and Business Agility Catalyst Projects in the past, and will be involved in two continuing Catalyst Projects to be showcased at TeleManagement World 2006 in Nice.
At 3GSM World 2006 in Barcelona, Ceon's CTO will join TMF Executives Martin Creaner and Keith Willets, and Chairman ENUM Forum, Gary Richenaker, for a panel discussion on Ensuring that Billing & OSS Standards Evolve to Meet Future Challenges. |
