System Design
Ceon subject matter experts (SME) including system architects will meet with your assigned staff to design and document the required system architecture to optimally support your service offerings. This includes working with third party vendors (billing, CRM, soft switch, feature servers, etc.) to integrate these components using a system oriented architecture (SOA) approach.

Service Synopsis: Ceon’s system design service utilizes the functional scope documentation delivered as part of the assessment service as the foundation to drive a defined system architecture and detailed functional design documentation. These design documents will be utilized by Ceon engineering staff to develop the required software code. These documents will also be utilized as the basis for acceptance testing and third party interface development.

Design Workshop: This workshop will involve the service providers more technical stakeholders as well as technical stakeholders from chosen third party providers who will be integrating with the service delivery solution. We will use the business requirements gathered from the assessment workshop to nail down the detailed interactions and workflows necessary to achieve an optimal design that renders a stable and high performance system. Operational supportability will also be a key element taken in to consideration during this technical design phase. This workshop typically takes 3 to 5 business days to complete.

Deliverables: It will typically take between 4 and 8 weeks to draft, iterate and deliver the following documents. The timeline for delivery is directly related to project scope and complexity.

  • System architecture design document identifying all product components being used in the environment and the interaction of such.
  • System design documents (SDD) defining the detailed process/work flow requirements based on input from external CRM/Billing/Portal, etc. systems. Includes Product Catalog definition order and error handling and roll back definition.
  • Adapter system design documents defining the functional requirements for interacting with network elements and external systems. This includes documenting external system API calls and associated data elements.
  • Data map specifications mapping inbound data received from CRM/Billing/Portal, etc. to outbound data that is pushed to network elements and external systems. Includes detailed gap analysis to determine “orphan” data.
