| Intelligent Order Manager |
 |
Ceon Intelligent Order Manager (IOM) supports the orchestration and management of order handling activities for complex and bundled broadband and IP-based services. Within the B/OSS stack, Ceon IOM typically resides between customer facing CRM systems and network facing provisioning applications.
Ceon IOM accepts product orders from either a CSR GUI, an upstream CRM application, an EAI interface or, a self-care portal, and tracks them using workflow through to completion. IOM performs the decomposition of product orders to service orders, and service orders to work orders. IOM also maintains the service image of end-subscribers, and has a built in order state model. IOM is able to assign work order queues and manage any problems that occur with an order, notifying the appropriate resources of exceptions and status. The system maintains an inventory of service-affecting network resources and devices and is able to confirm ‘serviceability’ in advance of actual network element activation to support that service. |
 |
Customer and Account Model
Ceon IOM has a pre-built and extendable domain model to capture and store customer and account data. Ceon serves as the service image of record for subscribers, and stores customer service data that allows correlation of customer, network and service information.
Service Affecting Network Resource Model
Ceon IOM includes a network resource model the supports definition of the capabilities of each network resource to facilitate easy mapping between network and product/services sold.
Product Model
Ceon IOM stores simple and bundled product definitions that may be created elsewhere (e.g. Ceon PCC), and allows creation of mapping relationships using supplied templates to support flow-through fulfillment.
Order Capture State and Status
Ceon IOM also has a built-in order state model, with support for partial order completion updates. The application has serviceability checking logic to confirm product availability and network build-out. Ceon IOM has a comprehensive order status viewer, allowing drill-down on order progress, errors and related data.
Order Decomposition and Workflow
Ceon IOM has decomposition logic and code to convert bundled product orders into activation work orders that have to be sent to network resources, trading partners and external applications. IOM includes a full-featured workflow engine, and also includes workflow templates that are fast-start samples for creating custom workflows. |
