Tench Coxe has been a General Partner of Sutter Hill Ventures since 1987; Sutter Hill is a recognized leader in financing technology-based ventures. As a Vice Chairman and Director of Ceon, Coxe formulates strategy and guides the company’s management. Coxe’s directorships have included Avant!, Edify Corporation, Primary Access Corporation and OnStream Networks. Prior to joining Sutter Hill, he was employed at Digital Communications Associates and Lehman Brothers. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dartmouth College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. He received his M.B.A. degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business. |
Howard Charney is Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems, Inc. and a member of Cisco's Office of the President and Executive Staff. Previous to his current position, Charney was senior vice president of the Small/Medium Business Line of Business at Cisco Systems. A well-established networking executive, he was the founder, president and CEO of Grand Junction Networks (the company that invented Fast Ethernet), which was acquired by Cisco in September 1995. He was also a member of the original founding team at 3Com. A sought-after orator, Charney frequently speaks with industry groups, customers, analysts and the press community on Cisco’s vision and strategy and the impact of the Internet on the way people work, live, play and learn. Charney earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Santa Clara University. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Federal Bar, and a licensed Patent Attorney. |

Over 20 years experience designing, developing and supporting software and hardware solutions within the telecommunications industry. Prior to Ceon, Peter held senior management positions at British Telecom (BT) and IBM. Peter holds a PhD in computer science and is a recognized expert in telecommunications, advanced software design, constraint satisfaction modeling and artificial intelligence (AI). |

Robert L. Barada spent 35 years at Pacific Bell/Pacific Telesis. His most recent position was vice president, corporate strategy and business development, reporting to the CEO of Pacific Telesis. He retired in August 1997 after playing a major role in the merger of Pacific Telesis and SBC, Inc. Barada received a Masters degree in Management from the Stanford Sloan School of Management and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Loyola University Law School. He is currently on the UC Berkeley Extension Advisory Council and the Stanford Sloan Advisory Board. |

James V. Rohde is the founder of Ceon and currently serves as its Vice Chairman; in this capacity he sits on the company’s Board of Directors and has a broad supervisory mandate. Rohde’s experience in the computer/telecommunications industry began in computer sales at NCR in 1962. Immediately prior to launching Ceon, he was the vice president of sales and marketing at Automation Electronics Corporation, the company that invented, patented and manufactured automatic call sequencers. Rohde founded Ceon Corporation in 1982 under the name American Telecorp Inc. In 1993 Rohde was named the Export Executive of the Year for Northern California by the U.S. Department of Commerce. He was a two-year member of the national board of directors of the American Electronics Association (AEA), and past chairman of AEA’s Northern California Council. Rohde is Chairman Emeritus of the Heritage College President’s Council, and a past board member of the Independent Colleges of Northern California and the Inc. Council of Growing Companies. He received a BCS degree from Seattle University, attended San Francisco Law School, and is a graduate of the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute. |

Howard Flagg was on the founding team of PairGain Technologies, Inc., in 1988. PairGain became the first major supplier of DSL equipment to the local telephone companies. At PairGain, Mr. Flagg served on the Board of Directors and at various times as VP Product Development, VP Business Development, President and CEO, and left in 2001 after its sale to ADC Telecommunications, Inc. Prior to 1988, Mr. Flagg was VP of R&D at Advanced Telecommunications, a supplier of telemetry processing and custom communications systems for the aerospace industry. Mr. Flagg is a Trustee at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science & Art and is on the board of directors of Celsian Technologies, Inc., a DSL modem company. Mr. Flagg has a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union. |
